They can also provide a selection of payment methods to suit your core business needs based on the payment mode and the collection volume you’re used to every month. With the digital payments, you can:

  • Add multiple products to your account in your merchant area.
  • Invoices: Create invoices, and directly send them to your customers.
  • Combine your existing e-commerce software with express checkout solutions.
  • Build your checkout system and connect with our payment gateway using server-side APIs.

OPay payment authentication

OPay payment flow was created to ensure merchant payments were secured and verified. OPay APIs leverage cutting-edge cryptographic primitives to provide best-in-class authentication and fraud mitigation. OPay APIs are encrypted by API keys which you will be provided when setting up your merchant account automatically. Depending on the type of API call you want to make, one of the following two authentication methods must be used:

  • Public key authentication: Used in payment creation API (Cashier Create Payment).
  • Signature Auth: For other payment APIs (Cashier Payment Status, Cashier Refund, Cashier Payment Close).

They offer a full-fledged sandbox staging environment for the ease of our merchants and the security of each merchant’s OPay integration. You can access the OPay staging environment while you are launching your integration or if you want to test out OPay’s latest additions. You will be able to make purchases with your own OPay integration in staging mode. This way you can validate your integration logic before launching it into production mode without making actual purchases. Here’s a sample set of cards that they offer to try different use cases for payments. Remember that you are only allowed to test these cards within your OPay account and for no actual transactions. In the same way, real card numbers won’t show up in your staging environment.
