A money management app, Qapital, brings together financial planning and day-to-day life in a smooth way. Their suite of set-and-forget money tools saves, invests, helps you pay down debt, and helps you budget. And you can do it all with or without a partner. Qapital is a financial app with over 100K+ 5-star reviews, 2M members, and has been named “Editor’s Choice” in the Google Play Store. Since its founding, almost $3B has been saved by Qapital users toward their financial goals.

What’s different about Qapital
It is so easy to pick immediate needs and wants before thinking of long-term financial stability in this day and age. Changing, and sticking to it, is hard.
With Qapital, you can set up your goals visually, and get your money moved to the right place automatically while you live your life. That also means it’s easier to begin, easier to move forward, and easier to continue with it. They have all of the tools fully customizable and you see it all in one place. That way you can define what financial success means to you and make some plans and actions to get there.
Opening a Qapital spend account
Before you can open a Qapital Spend account, you’ll need to link an external bank account and create a Qapital Save account. Once you sign up, they will prompt you to verify your identity which will allow you to open a checking account through our partner bank Lincoln Savings Bank, and you will receive a linked Qapital Visa® Debit Card.
How to set up a Qapital retirement goal
To create a new Qapital retirement goal, you can do this from the Overview tab by tapping the (+) button in the top right and then ‘Create Retirement Goal’.
After creating a new Retirement Goal, they’ll help you pick the most suitable IRA type and a portfolio that fits your investment requirements. They can also help you set up a Qapital Invest account if you don’t already have one. Your funds will be transferred and invested by 5 to 7 business days after your account is opened.
A rental property needs me to have at least a $10 minimum to set up a retirement goal. Qapital Invest funds are not FDIC insured, are not bank guaranteed, and may lose value. Although it insures you for up to $500K, up to $250K cash, you are still covered for up to $500K via your Qapital Invest account should your partner broker fail. SIPC insurance won’t protect you if you lose money because of a market decline.
Verify email
They’ll just send your verification email to that email address if they can’t verify the email address you used when you created your Qapital account. If you can’t do it either, you can email support@qapital.com or our in-app support section just remember to email your phone number.
Maybe they couldn’t find it if something didn’t get typed right when signing up.
Penny deposits
Occasionally there’s a need to verify your external account with Qapital by depositing “penny deposits” in your bank. Qapital will create two small deposits under $0.50 in your external funding account and these should appear in your account within 1-3 business days, followed by a withdrawal of the total amount of deposits. If you send penny amounts, you’ll get asked to verify these amounts in the app so you can link the account. If you run into any trouble with this, please don’t hesitate to email support@qapital.com or use the in-app support section.
Linking my Bank
To add an external account, go to the Home tab, press “See all accounts”, and then press “Add account” at the top right. Plaid will take you through the process, quickly and securely connecting to your account.
